Rosters and Eligibility Requirements

Eligible ethnicities/nationalities include but are not limited to the following:

East Asia: China,
Japan, Korea
Middle East: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia
South Asia:
Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
Southeast Asia: Filipino, Taiwanese, Thai, Vietnamese
Western Asia: Afghanistan, Tibet, Turkey, Kazakhstan

All players MUST be at least 50% Asian. The burden of proof will be on each player. It is the responsibility of team captains to contest a players ethnicity. Our policy is to give players the benefit of the doubt. However, if an opposing captain wants to make an anonymous challenge, the player questioned will have to provide sufficient proof of his ethnicity.

Players of mixed nationalities such as half Chinese, half Japanese, etc. may choose which team they want to play for.

All teams are allowed (2) players of Asian descent but differing nationalities as long as they are part of the original team roster and fit within the spirit of the competition. Meaning, if they always run with you and you don't want to leave them out, they're welcome. Don't go out and pick-up Yi Jianlian just because you can. Unless, of course, you're a Chinese team.

If you have questions regarding whether or not your team qualifies, e-mail tournament co-director Ren Hsieh (ren@fastbreaknyc.com).

ROSTERS

All teams are allowed to suit out a maximum of (12) players and carry an additional (2) injury exception players--players who can suit out if a teammate is injured; basically players on IR.

Only (10) t-shirts will be given to each team but additional tournament t-shirts can be purchased at the concession stand.
